Rules and Procedures

The rules are simple... when in doubt, slack. If you are in doubt as to whether or not you broke a rule, take a drink.

The procedures however, are a little more specific and should be followed as closely as the situation dictates.

The following rules are in place.

Below are the established procedures for Slackers Weekend.

Section 1 - Times

1.1.1 Slackers Weekend starts promptly at 8:00 pm on Friday.

1.2.1 Saturday and Sunday movies start at 12:00 noon.

1.2.2 Movies can be played on Saturday and Sunday before noon, however, these can not be official Slackers Weekend Movies or movies pulled from the hat (see 2.3.1).

1.3.1 Slackers Weekend officially lasts until Sunday night 11:59 pm.

1.4.1 Slackers Weekend is held on the Weekend after Valentine's day unless Valentines Day falls on a Thursday or Friday. In the case of a Thursday or Friday Valentines Day, Slackers will be held on the following weekend.

Section 2 - Preparation

2.1.1 All preparation shall be completed before the start of Slackers Weekend (see 1.1.1)

2.2.1 A selection of movies is made before Slackers Friday. Any objections to specific movies shall be made before the start of Slackers Weekend.

2.3.1 Each movie title is written on a piece of paper, each piece of paper is placed inside a hat.

Section 3 - Process and Disputes

3.1.1 Once Slackers Weekend has started, all movies will be selected by random blind draw from the hat.

3.1.2 Any awake participant in Slackers Weekend is eligible to draw from the hat.

3.1.3 A slackmen-like attempt shall be made to include everyone in the process of selecting a movie.

3.2.1 When one movie is completed, another movie is immediately drawn from the hat and is played.

3.3.1 Movies continue being played until less than a third of the present individuals are left awake or a simple majority of those remaining awake choose to halt the selection another movie.

3.4.1 A super majority of seventy five percent of those present and awake is required to overturn a properly selected official Slackers Weekend movie.

Section 4 - Other

4.1.1 Slackers Weekend is Not a party. Don't treat it like one.

4.2.1 No Vietnam movies.

4.3.1 Only men are permitted.  This does not prohibit whispy men, only those without Y chromosomes.
